Islamorada, the Sportfishing capital of the world, provides a wide variety of deep sea and reef fishing options year round. We offer Keys fishing charters that target such species as dolphin (mahi-mahi), sailfish, grouper, snapper, kingfish, swordfish, wahoo, tuna, cobia, marlin and jacks.

We use techniques that include drifting, slow, medium and fast trolling, chumming at anchor, flying kites, deep dropping with conventional and electric reels, and employ live bait, rigged natural bait and artificials. We use top of the line Penn fishing tackle that is meticulously maintained for reliable performance

The Redfish is rigged with the latest safety and fish finding equipment, as well as offering a comfortable air-conditioned cabin. We welcome families and anglers regardless of their fishing expertise.

We are located at the world famous Bud n' Mary's Fishing Marina at mile marker 79.8 oceanside in Islamorada, Florida Keys.

Trips include everything related to the fishing, but you need to bring food, drink, sunblock, sunglasses etc.

About the Captain

Hi, I am Captain Merv Finch and I welcome you to fish with me and my experienced first mate on the Fedfish.
Fishing has dominated my outdoor activities all of my life. I have fished the Chesapeake Bay, the Louisiana Oil rigs, Montauk and the Canyons, the Gulf Stream out of North Carolina and for the last 13 years, the waters of the Florida Keys.
I received my Captain's license 22 years ago at the Coast Guard station, Battery Park, Manhattan. My first mate and I would like to share the incredible experience of fishing the Florida Keys with you. Let's Go Fishing!
